Handcrafted Headwear

Olive Corduroy Cap

Hello Crew,

This is not a hat explanation, more so an information update.

The 5 Panel isn’t everyone’s thing, and I get that, it’s hardly my thing anymore, obviously, it used to be, considering the minor mass quantity of handmade ones all over this website. People always were asking to switch it up, so I have, and the reason it’s coming so late in the game is that I wanted to perfect the design of them.

Here are the first available ‘Standard Leisure Caps’
there is a limited quantity of this material,
made to order HERE for yew,

by yew:

thank yew.

where yew to?

where yew to Jake O’Doyle?

30cm of snow is dropping,

but we’re still gonna get silly,

and send it.

trip out to this why don’t yew

Here’s a design that I whipped up this morning.

Just something a little simple, easy line work, used the stroke tool and hit it with dashed line segments and multi-direction arrowheads, neato color schemes and transparent backdrops.

where Yew to?

let me know what yew think in the comments below

be the best yew today!

OP-Redondo

“Olive,
Poor thing,
Sits and thinks
That it's drab.
Sure does.
Sits and sits and sits and sits and thinks
About its olive drab drab.”

Welcome to the half-way point throughout your week, and thank yew for tuning in for a hat explanation.

About a year ago I got home from living/traveling Australia for the year. Leaving for that trip I didn’t want to stop creating, so I packed an additional piece of luggage full of fabrics, hardware, threads, and some critical sewing essentials. Once established, I found a beautiful Singer Golden Touch on Gumtree, went and sent to it. This range of hats was designed from two beautiful combinations of grade-A fabrics.

textile 1: Lightweight Olive Woven Cotton

textile 2: Cream base, Scarlet / Gold / Beige / Olive Paisley

  • Yew Woven Label

  • Accented Front, Underbrim and Adjuster

  • White 4mm Eyelets

  • YKK Slide Adjuster

  • Olive Thread

In the Australian winter of 2018, living in a small beachside apartment on the Gold Coast, fourteen of these beautiful olive and paisley printed hats were designed at 3 Redondo Ave, 4220, Miami.

I give yew,

OP-Redondo

thank yew for stopping by on the first of February for an explanation.
this design was a custom ordered project from 2018. the project began by a customer specifically choosing a fabric I had in stock, and what a dandy she done chose. Using a 25 sq. in. factory sample there was enough fabric to create two custom hats:

a beautiful, heavyweight, woven turquoise cotton/polyester blend.

  • Yew Woven Label

  • White 4mm Eyelets

  • YKK Slide Adjuster

  • Teal Stitching

i give yew,

Ola!

Thanks for dropping by to check out a new, old, design.
I’ve been on a big creative curve lately to try and publish as much as I can.

So I was going through some old files and came across an attempt to create perfect, symmetric letters of yew. The file was trash, and my skills had improved, so I did some touch ups, straightened some lines, worked with some old and new colour tones.

Each letter is perfect cube, they line up real good, stack real well, and thats about it because at the end of the day it’s just a cube.

some nice yew cubes, some nice colour palettes to boot.

some nice yew cubes, some nice colour palettes to boot.

another set of nice yew cubes, tried out some new colour palettes on these bais.

the cubes got into my stash, again. some feathering, blurring and warping mane.

KM-Blaisley

what is it about paisleys?

something about the shape and designs can be mesmerizing.
one of the oldest dating ornaments, this shape is know as a Boteh in Persian, also has been dated back to the 9th century which further promotes is fashionable statement.

notably found on expensive carpets, fine silks, and rare rugs, how more suitable to find it on a custom series of hats, limited to those worthy of its powers imbued.
what??

thanks again for stopping by, this was a fun project almost going back two years now.
a friend of mine, Kevvo, a long supporter of my hat-cause, had previously purchased multiples of my designs from early on. so I invited Kev to come into the studio and pick out his own new hat, as well as a full collection to boot.

textile 1: black cotton/polyester blend, light brown / lime / yewllow / darkgreen / white paiselys

textile 2: yellow microfibre

textile 3: light brown corduroy

this hat came in 3 variations; where each version holds a different brim fabric.

  • Yew Woven Label

  • White 4mm Eyelets

  • Plastic Clip Closure

  • Yellow Thread

I give yew,

thanks for tuning in - here is another look into a hat explanation.
this fabric here is one i found a long time ago, when yew first begun.
back in 2016 i think a few of these were made to pass out to friends of mine.
and in 2018 while living in Australia, about another 10 were constructed, more than likely
of superior quality than the originals previously assembled as a sewing noob.

vintage herringbone cotton/polyester blend, great elasticity.
orange rust, forest green, and white .

  • Yew Woven Label

  • White 4mm Eyelets

  • YKK Slide Adjuster

  • White Stitching

i give yew,

Patagonia x Yew

found at a thrifting pop-up, sick, classic hipster pick-up line bud.

but seriously, it's honestly pretty slick.

real cool, medium weight, faded purple dyed Patagonia denim longsleeve.

alas, it had to be repurposed, because it was a chicks, and I'm a dude, and now it's a recycled yewnisex hat for all, well just one, because there will only ever be, just, one.

Featuring a Yew Sport Enhanced 5-Panel template this hat features:

  • front panel pocket stash

  • faded purple dye

  • 4mm white eyelets

  • YKK slide adjuster

  • Patagonia coloured brim stitching

I am writing this as a disclaimer;

I don't own or work for Patagonia,
I'm just a guy who recycled/reclaimed an old shirt
and happens to be a weapon on a sewing machine.

Trippy Mane

made this graphic about two years ago now, always really enjoyed it.

cleaned it up a little and played around with some color schemes, always fun to go back to old designs and polish things up.

was always hoping that this graphic could make it on some apparel, maybe some screen prints over this winter perhaps would be in order, yes, yes, its all coming together now.

anyhow, this was me trying to give ‘YEW’ a tripped out vibe, sort of hit i i thought, kind of spooky too. lil spook, lil steez.

Holla @ Me

wolves, who isn’t a fan?

perhaps one of the most majestic creatures to grace us in this world.

canis lupus, canis l’yewpus.
________________________

there are two fabrics used in this creation.

firstly, what are wolves? well this was already established prior, majestic.

wolves have long coats of fur, which makes them; secondly, soft.

this is why at yew supply co, we carry suede-like, plush textiles to completely customize any hat what ever the circumstance, and in this case to coordinate the grandeur of a wolf pelt.

________________________

this is what you would call a super rare fabric, holographic if it could, if you would.

donated to me by one of the sweetest ladies i’ve met in my life, who originally used the fabric to make pillows for children in need. thus, with the little amount that was given to me, two hats were created.

this is one of them:

  • cotton/polyester wolf print

  • thick tan brown suede

  • Yew woven label

  • white 4mm eyelets

  • ykk slide adjuster

Where did you come from?
What are you doing here?
Canis Lupus!
Vulpes Vulpes!
I don't think he speaks English or Latin.
